Our faith in God, Jesus and the Bible acts as a shield over our lives to cover any doubts or struggles. Faith is believing that Jesus is our Saviour and that we can have eternal life through Him. When Satan throws flaming arrows at us (lies or doubts), we need to know, without doubt, what we believe and why we believe it. God is faithful and trustworthy. The truth of His Word will help us stand firm and victorious in our faith.
"Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one". (Ephesians 6:14-16)
