Have you ever experienced a power outage at your home or your business? It can be a frustrating and disorienting experience, especially at night when everything goes pitch black. Many in South Africa and other parts of the world endure power cuts daily, so others can have electricity. This is a great reminder of our spiritual challenge to shine our lights in the darkness that is so prevalent in today's world. May we be a people who live and walk in the light of Jesus, and who lead others out of darkness and into the loving, gracious arms of our faithful Heavenly Father. (James 1:17)

Have you ever stopped and wondered why you react, respond or make certain choices? Are your choices motivated by love or fear? It is crucial for us to reflect on our 'why'! Thankfully, our Lord Jesus guides us in this vital aspect of our lives. By reading God’s Holy Word, we not only learn the 'why' behind our current thoughts and responses, but also our purpose for living! (1 John 4:18-19)

W@W WRAP - Week 342: TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

God takes care of every detail in our lives. He takes care of what we eat, where we live, what we wear, and even the people who are in our lives. We don't have to be anxious about anything but trust in our Lord to guide, help and sustain us through our times of worry and difficulty. We can be confident that He is always faithful, bringing redemption and restoration, and He is working all things together for our good and His glory! May we experience the presence of our Lord as He goes before us. He is behind us, beneath us, above us, and all around us, in our coming and going, in the morning and the evening, now and forever! (Matthew 6:25-34)

W@W WRAP - Week 343: GIVING THANKS TO OUR LORD ALWAYS!

How often are we intentionally grateful for the things and people in our lives? Are we able to give thanks even during times of struggle and doubt? Our Lord tells us that in Him there is life, grace and strength, even on days when we don't understand what is going on. By recommitting our lives to Him and seeking a closer relationship with Him, we can find comfort, rest and joy. It's His breath that gives us life, so may we pour out our praises and glorify our Father in Heaven, now and always! (Psalm 100:4 & 1 Thessalonians 5:18)

W@W WRAP - Week 344: WHO REIGNS SUPREME IN YOUR LIFE?

As we look at the world around us, there appear to be many 'supreme rulers' of people's lives… power, money, big houses, flashy cars, fame, expensive jewellery,  'likes' on social media, the latest fashions, and the list goes on. What about you? Who, or what, reigns supreme in your life? May we draw closer and closer to God and allow Him to transform our hearts, minds and souls with a deep and renewed understanding of who He is. This will enable us to stand victorious against the storms of life, serve as co-workers in God's Kingdom, respect and value each other, and live differently as we honour and glorify the King of our hearts! (Matthew 22:37)

W@W WRAP - Week 345: HOW HE LOVES US!

Have you ever felt like you aren’t really significant in this world? It's easy to become disheartened when faced with circumstances outside of our control, or when the news fills us with anxiety. Sometimes we find ourselves in situations that we aren't sure how to handle, and we wish we had someone to turn to for guidance. The great news is that we have! You are so special to God that He not only created you… He knew you before you were born, and He knows the plans He has for you! He loves you unconditionally and is always willing to help you grow in your identity in Christ. (Psalm 139:13-16)

W@W WRAP - Week 346: ON OUR KNEES BEFORE OUR LORD!

What really matters in life brings us to our knees – either literally or in our hearts. Our Lord invites us to surrender every detail of our lives to Him, no matter how big or small. While we may feel we can handle certain situations on our own, our God is always ready to be a part of every solution we need. He promises never to leave our side and to help whenever we ask. When faced with challenges such as relationship struggles, financial issues, job concerns, or health issues, we can know that our Lord is there for us, waiting to help us through. (John 14:10-14)

W@W WRAP - Week 347: YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

Do you sometimes feel like you're navigating life on your own? Even if those who usually walk with you through rough times are absent, you are never alone. Our Lord Jesus promises us, from Genesis to Revelation, and everywhere in between, that He will never leave or forsake us. He promises to walk with us and show us how to walk in His ways. (Deuteronomy 31:6-8)

W@W WRAP - Week 348: INTIMACY WITH OUR GOD

Have you ever felt the need for more intimacy in your life? Maybe your best friend has moved away, or you are grieving the loss of a loved one. It could also be that you desire to be closer to our Heavenly Father, Who at this moment may seem distant. Whatever the reason, these situations leave us with a hole in our hearts and a longing for connection – someone to share our ups and downs with. The good news is that our Lord Himself desires to be that intimate companion to us, in the good moments and the not-so-good ones! (Psalm 119: 57–64)

W@W WRAP - Week 349: THE KINGDOM OF GOD…

Have you ever noticed that what the world applauds as success is often the opposite of what God considers success? Indeed, sometimes the Kingdom of God appears upside-down compared to the kingdom of this earth. Jesus' servant-hearted approach and counter-cultural way of living challenged our world’s narrative of power, greed and self-centeredness in His time, as well as today. Jesus urged His followers then, as His Word urges us today, to live according to the Kingdom-principles He taught us. (Matthew 5:43-48)
